FiberTalk just released a podcast and video in which Gary and I walk through my new membership platform. Take a peek behind the paywall to find out what is included in my membership plan. My website offers beginner embroidery courses that teach a limited number of stitches and techniques. Good examples include the Wolfgang chasuble and Besye the Opus anglicanum winged dog. If you want to get a few authentic medieval goldwork techniques under your belt, try the Medieval Goldwork sampler. Intermediate embroiderers will enjoy stitching the Angel Choir. And experienced embroiderers can sink their teeth into recreating a complete orphrey panel, including a saint in beautiful or nué. Each course is based on existing medieval embroidery.

Embroidery Courses - FiberTalk podcast with Jessica Grimm

I am currently uploading my epic Medieval Embroidery Techniques course. The first three lessons are up and accessible to members. Once completed, this course, just like all other embroidery courses mentioned above, will also be available for a one-off payment without a subscription. Just look for the course descriptions that have “Single Course” in their title. Want to know if my teaching style is to your liking? Check out my free videos on setting up a slate frame!

In addition to the embroidery courses, members also have access to my downloadable eBooks. Currently, there are two on offer: the long-armed crossstitch and a collection of diaper patterns. The tutorials I release on my blog every month, which are free for everyone, can be found as handy downloadable PDFs in the membership section. Members gain instant access to eight PDFs. More will be uploaded soon!

We also gushed over the beautiful needlework made by members Chris, Tammy and Lori. My forum is the place to share your work without being tracked or sidetracked :). And in a world where specialist needlework businesses are vanishing fast (DiCraft, for instance!), it becomes important to really know fellow embroidery enthusiasts who might be able to pinpoint you to remaining resources or are even willing to share their stash with you. And getting to know people is easy! We meet every week online for a Stitch & Chat and once a month for an in-depth lecture and discussion on Medieval Goldwork Embroidery.

Please check out my F.A.Q. for more details on my membership program and another walkthrough video. It will also let you know how to reach me if you have any remaining questions.
