Although currently sadly not possible, I love to visit the Middle East. Friendly people, tasty cuisine, vibrant embroidered textiles, and an abundance of old buildings—what’s not to love? I bought a vintage Bedouin dress in a small Egyptian shop in the Netherlands. The colourful cross-stitch patterns on the black ground cloth tell the wearer’s life story.

This 39-page eBook contains five geometric patterns, a fancy border, and three loose elements found on the vintage Bedouin dress. It also includes many pictures and drawings of the dress and background information on the dress and its patterns. The cross-stitch charts were made using Cross-Stitch Professional Platinum software. All you need is an even weave linen (it does not have to be black!) and stranded cotton.
