Medieval Goldwork Course – a journey through 500 years of embroidered history. Each lesson will comprise a PDF download with all the historical and technical information on the particular technique explored, a recorded lecture with detailed pictures of the original embroideries, and a video of me working on the sample and giving tips. A detailed description of each lesson can be found here.
A full kit for the Medieval Goldwork Course with all the fabrics, spools of real gold thread, bundles of silk, needles, and design transfer materials will be provided and is included in the course fee. In addition, you will need a slate frame c. 61 cm (length of webbing) (and the materials for setting it up: webbing, strong sewing thread, bracing needle, and string).
Great effort has been made to source the materials for this kit from small, family-owned businesses. Whenever possible, I will opt for ecological and fair trade products. The shipping box was made in India from recycled materials.
Shipping costs are added upon checkout. Due to the immediate access to this course’s downloadable content, refunds cannot be honoured. You will have access to the instruction videos for at least a year after the date of purchase.
Note: As a small business owner within the meaning of Section 19 Paragraph 1 of the VAT Act, VAT is not charged.
